Field Soundgraphy is a term for cutting sounds from scenes of sky, sea, fields, and the like.
Artists who love nature have taken inspiration from field recordings, producing musical pieces that seem to be lifted from unique moments in time, in this first edition compilation project.
“Forest” is the theme.
Focusing on woods and mountains, the sound of trees and wind, voices of creatures such as birds, the murmuring of streams, sounds echoing through caves, as the sunlight filters through the canopy, from morning to dawn, these musical expressions add sound colors from piano, didgeridoo, “waribashi piano” (a string instrument employing chopsticks in its design), and many other musical tools.
A delicate unity of feel is woven through many genres: electronica, chillout, ambient, classical, healing, relaxation, meditation, ethnic music.
